Chris Baugh earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture degrees from Washington State University. As a McNair Scholar, he focused his research on effective methods for teaching computer-aided drafting at the university level and then utilized this knowledge as the primary instructor of CAD at WSU for three years.
Chris has worked on a wide range of design projects including retail spaces, office buildings, medical, optical, and dental facilities, industrial warehouses, laboratories, conferencing centers, libraries, as well as residential work including single and multi-family housing and mixed-use developments.
Chris has strong ties to the Tri-Cities. His grandparents relocated from Utah to take jobs at the Hanford site in the 1950’s. After graduating from Pasco High School, Chris served a two year mission for his church in northern England. After a short stint in Seattle, he moved back to the Tri-Cities where he met his wife, Serena. They are the proud parents of five children and recently joined the grandparent’s club.
Chris enjoys being involved in various activities, events, and community organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership Tri-Cities (Class XIII), a member of the Enginering Technology Advisory Committee at Columbia Basin College, and is currently serving on the Games Management Team for the Special Olympics Washington Fall Games. As a mentor, he strives to live by the mantra “be who you needed when you were younger” and has found opportunities to support young people preparing for careers in architecture as well as those interested in writing, recording , and performing music.
